Riding Level
Beginner | A beginner rider is someone who has never ridden before or ridden a few times in a controlled environment.
If you have experience but haven’t ridden in several months or years, it is best to ride as a beginner and be paired with a quiet natured horse. |
Intermediate |
An intermediate rider is someone who can rise to the trot and sit to a canter comfortably.
We also expect that you can control your horse within and independently of the group. An intermediate rider will enjoy a more responsive horse. |
Experienced |
An experienced rider is someone who has ridden for several years and is confident on any horses with any temperament.
An experienced rider will enjoy a forward moving and responsive horse. |
SAFETY: The safety of our riders, guides and horses is paramount. While every effort is made to accommodate all riders when pairing rider and horse, we must consider our horses temperaments. It is important to remember that a horse has a mind of its own and so, an accurate understanding of rider experience and ability is imperative in ensuring everyone has an enjoyable ride. We have carefully selected all of our horses and ponies to suit all experience levels and abilities. Please consider the guide above before selecting your riding level!
