We offer a number of accommodation options - from beautiful secluded backcountry cabins to lodges and canvas wall tents. Accommodation options vary depending on which region you are trekking in.

Blue Lake Lodge & Lake House

Blue Lake Lodge - $85 pp per night
Blue Lake Lodge and Lake House - $75 pp per night

The Blue Lake Lodge sleeps up to 8 people - two double beds and two bunk beds (minimum of 4 people per booking)
The Lake House sleeps up to 10 people - two double beds and three bunk beds (minimum of 10 people per booking for lodge and lake house)

This brand-new lodge has it all – your own private lake and breathtaking mountain views. The lodge is perfect for those that want to be nestled in amongst the mountains without compromising on luxury. The newly refurbished lake house is situated right on the lake, approximately 150m from the lodge.

The Cook Shop

 $45 pp per night

Sleeps up to 8 people - three double beds and two singles (minimum of 2 people per booking)

Newly refurbished quarters situated in the heart of the station. This quaint and cosy cottage is perfect for riders wanting to experience the backcountry while still having all the amenities of home.

Basin Creek Hut

$30 pp per night

Sleeps up to 6 people – four single beds and one double bed (minimum of 4 people per booking)

This beautifully restored historical hut is situated in the heart of a scenic secluded valley. The cabin is comfortable and warm, offering a genuine ‘Kiwi hut’ experience.

  • Cooking utensils - pots, pans, utensils etc.
  • Fireplace and fully stocked woodshed
  • Beds fitted with sheets - sleeping bags and pillows required
  • Long drop
  • NO running water or shower
  • NO Wi-Fi

Approximately a 30-minute drive to the station gate from the small township of Fairlie, Canterbury and an additional 20-minute drive off-road to basin creek hut. Fairlie is a 2.5-hour drive south of Christchurch International Airport.

NO CELL RECEPTION AT LODGING - You can get cell reception daily on the mountain and get Wi-Fi in the evenings at the homestead if required.

Lodge

$400 per night (minimum of 4 people per booking and a minimum of 4 nights stay) - $90 per additional person per night

Sleeps up to 8 people – two double beds and two bunk beds (minimum of 6 people per booking)

This brand-new lodge has it all and it the perfect home away from home.

Twin Huts

$150 per night (minimum of 2 people and a minimum of 2 nights stay) - $70 per additional person per night

Sleeps up to 7 people – three single beds and two double

This beautiful historic cabin was originally built in the 1940’s. It has since been refurbished and offers a scenic escape nestled in amongst the mountains. 

  • Gas cooker
  • Cooking utensils - pots, pans, utensils etc.
  • Fireplace and fully stocked wood shed
  • Beds fitted with sheets - sleeping bags and pillows required
  • Long drop
  • NO running water or shower
  • NO power - plenty of candles for lighting and battery powered lights. Generator available if required
  • NO Wi-Fi

Approximately a 30-minute drive to the station gate from the small township of Fairlie, Canterbury and an additional 30-minute drive off-road from the gate to the twin huts. Fairlie is a 2.5-hour drive from Christchurch International Airport.
